Aaron T. Murphy is a son to one God, husband of one wife and father to one son. He is a family man who believes his household is his first ministry. Aaron was born in Salem, VA to Pastor Ferris and Rita Murphy and called to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the age of 5 years old. He spent most of his childhood in Memphis, TN. Aaron received his Bachelor of Science from East Tennessee State University, a Master of Divinity from Emmanuel Christian Seminary and a Doctorate in Biblical Studies from Upper Room Seminary. He worked years in the healthcare construction industry throughout the country as an onsite engineer and later a project manager. Aaron transitioned into full time ministry shortly after an undeniable encounter with God in Cleveland, TN that changed his life forever. He serves as the CEO of Good Samaritan Ministries, Senior Pastor of Thankful Baptist Church, Vision Leader of New Community Life, and sits on several boards of various organizations. He is greatly involved in serving the homeless and preventing homelessness in the Upper East Tennessee Region. Aaron thrives on reaching lost souls, being a voice for the voiceless and building communities that take care of communities. He enjoys teaching and preaching the Gospel and regularly takes part in serving in services, conferences, seminars and workshops wherever and whenever called by God. Aaron resides in Johnson City, TN along with his beautiful wife Courtney and son Robert Issac.
